Had lots of fun styling this beauty for Sundance with faux fur and feminine colors! Beyond excited for the release of her documentary, This is Everything: Gigi Gorgeous. It will be in theaters in LA and NYC starting next week, and available everywhere on YouTube Red February 8!
I styled Kesha for this important message. Everyone make sure to get out there and vote!!!
When you think of neon, "sophisticated" might not be the first thing that comes to mind. Perhaps instead you envision a pack frat boys, terribly pleased with themselves for wearing the playful hue ironically. Or that excellent #tbt pic of you hitting the bunny hill for the first time, impossibly puffy and immobile decked in early 90's ski gear.
But don't let those visions cloud your judgement. Neon can be shockingly sophisticated and totally sexy if you know how to wear it! Take a cue from my gal Gigi, and keep the look clean, solid and monochromatic. Need I mention how good these colors look with a tan?? I thought not. Skip the temptation to add more color and texture, opting instead for crisp, white accessories. A totally hot look for summer, and a perfect way to bring that energy and sexiness into the fall!

This week, I accompanied Gigi on a super secret trip to NYC! I can't share what we were working on, but I can hook you up with outfit deets from this killer look Mz. Gorgeous rocked while there!
I styled her in a House of CB skirt, a Boohoo long sleeve bodysuit, and her own August Getty Atelier organza sheer jacket. Her white nails and matching white Fendi bag completed the look with through-the-roof levels of CHIC.
Fancy this outfit for yourself? Why wouldn't you, you smart, sophisticated lady you. See below for my suggestions how to put the look together with a slightly smaller budget, but just as much CHIC.
I styled my gal for the Humane Society Gala last weekend, and she absolutely killed it in this Azzi & Osta gown. Killer glam, as always, by Vittorio Masecchia.
Quite frankly, the gown was next to impossible to walk in... but damn she look GOOD, no?
For Jeremy Scott's Powerpuff Girls x Moschino collection launch, I dressed Gigi in a sheer, layered, all black look that she.... well....SLAYED in. The bodysuit is by House of CB, and the skirt is from the eponymous collection of her BFF, August Getty.
But what's a gal to do if she ain't got a couturier as her bff? Fear Not, friendz. I'm breaking down the look in affordable pieces- including beauty recs directly from our girl G- so you can rock this killer summer style all season long!
**Slaying sold separately**
To rock the look in Gigi's signature sexy style, pair a curve-hugging, mock-neck bodysuit with a long but super-sheer skirt. Accessorize the look with a laced-up heel, snakeskin clutch, and modern pearls. Top with a classic red lip, and get ready to turn heads!
Lux Leather & Lace
If you like to add a little more modern edge to your look, try the maxi skirt with a thigh high slit, and top with a super sheer, long sleeve shirt over a lace bustier. A clean, strappy shoe, and a super on-trend choker, in leather and metal, complete the look with an extra dose of bad b!tch.
For an equally hot but more bohemian interpretation of the look, try a sheer, pleated maxi skirt with a long sleeve, lace-up bodysuit. Braided leather flats, a cross-body bag, and some gold hardware finish the look with an easy, cool-girl - dare I say "festival" - vibe.
Quest Nutrition was sweet enough to seek me out, ask me some questions, and take my picture in- what else?- an absolutely giant bag of shoes. Check out my interview here for some insights into how I ended up in styling, and my approach with clients such as Kesha and Gigi Gorgeous.
Thanks for your support, Quest!!
Overalls have had endless iterations over their decades of popularity, but none more sophisticated than their current runway interpretations. A far cry from the baggy, dirty, workwear sacks you might picture on the likes of Old MacDonald, the Spring/Summer and Pre-Falls runways showed a full rainbow of colors, fabrications, and silhouettes. From wide and flowing, to fitted and cropped, there are styles to suit not just every body type, but every aesthetic. So forget what you think you know about overalls- or, if you're like me, any sorry attempts to emulate the Aliyah's and T.L.C.s of yesteryear- and get ready to embrace the trend in all its new, fresh, fabalousness.
Texture + Print
A bold focus on fabrication, from structured leather to floaty chiffon, classic denim to bold color blocking.
Still not sold on the old-fashioned shape? There are plenty of totally reworked riffs on the classic, that feel anything but basic or outdated.
A surefire way to keep the style fresh and sophisticated is to rock it in white. All white is super hip for winter, and will almost certainly remain popular through spring and summer.
