These strappy Steve Madden babies are the damn JAM (and on sale!!). Wear 'em with shorts, wear 'em to a wedding, wearing in your goddam birthday suit. They'll do ya good every time.
Rounding out this week of looks featuring strappy lace ups, I paired this super saturated pair with way casz jean shorts, an old white tee, and a print moto jacket. And, to top it all off, reflective lensed bad boys from Wildfox. Happy long weekend indeed. ♥

If these snazy shoezies look familiar, it might be because I styled Kesha in them a few weeks ago, along with an equally amazing vintage kimono (here). While the kimono might be prohibitively expensive, it's yo lucky day cause them shoes are from Zara and are less than a hundo, and I'm in love with 'em! Hurry up and snag a pair (---> here), and I promise you will be wearing them all summer. With a dress? Maj. With a swimsuit? So cute. With everyday casual? Every day.
I decided to wear these fiesta-for-your-feet sandals with some other simple, classic pieces, topped off with some reflective lenses courtesy of Le Specs. With a simple outfit, the shoes take the cake, and with a cute summer frock, they'd serve equally well as the icing on top. Either way you're looking good AND a walking cake analogy so really people what's not to like?

Last week, I shared that Gigi Gorgeous and I have been having a warm weather love fest with super strappy sandals and lace up boots. So this week I'll be posting looks to show you how I style the trend!
Step one: Lots of Leg. This allows the strappies to function as an extra bold exclamation point.
Step two: Simple shapes. The shoes are whole lotta somethin, so the clothes shouldn't be too much somethin or the look will seem overwhemed with somethins.
Step three: Reflective lenses. These will add a pop edge to clarify that you a street saavy babe and not a woodlands nymph who has fashioned her own footwear from supple twigs and boar eyelashes. In case there was any confusion.
More looks coming this week! Stay tuned. And head here to shop!
During NYFW, I dressed Gigi in these killer lace up heeled sandals from Lulu's. Since then, she and I both have been loving the trend for spring and summer. And what's not to like: they're darn cute, they're damn sexy, and they're basically boots, but for warm weather! Yes please.
When it comes to styling the trend, let the shoes do the talking, and keep it more simple up top. And, obv, the more leg the betta! From ankle length to over the knee, shop the look at every price range below, and stay tuned on how I style the look next week!
I styled my gal for the Humane Society Gala last weekend, and she absolutely killed it in this Azzi & Osta gown. Killer glam, as always, by Vittorio Masecchia.
Quite frankly, the gown was next to impossible to walk in... but damn she look GOOD, no?
For Jeremy Scott's Powerpuff Girls x Moschino collection launch, I dressed Gigi in a sheer, layered, all black look that she.... well....SLAYED in. The bodysuit is by House of CB, and the skirt is from the eponymous collection of her BFF, August Getty.
But what's a gal to do if she ain't got a couturier as her bff? Fear Not, friendz. I'm breaking down the look in affordable pieces- including beauty recs directly from our girl G- so you can rock this killer summer style all season long!
**Slaying sold separately**
To rock the look in Gigi's signature sexy style, pair a curve-hugging, mock-neck bodysuit with a long but super-sheer skirt. Accessorize the look with a laced-up heel, snakeskin clutch, and modern pearls. Top with a classic red lip, and get ready to turn heads!
Lux Leather & Lace
If you like to add a little more modern edge to your look, try the maxi skirt with a thigh high slit, and top with a super sheer, long sleeve shirt over a lace bustier. A clean, strappy shoe, and a super on-trend choker, in leather and metal, complete the look with an extra dose of bad b!tch.
For an equally hot but more bohemian interpretation of the look, try a sheer, pleated maxi skirt with a long sleeve, lace-up bodysuit. Braided leather flats, a cross-body bag, and some gold hardware finish the look with an easy, cool-girl - dare I say "festival" - vibe.
Quest Nutrition was sweet enough to seek me out, ask me some questions, and take my picture in- what else?- an absolutely giant bag of shoes. Check out my interview here for some insights into how I ended up in styling, and my approach with clients such as Kesha and Gigi Gorgeous.
